Private Insurance Coverage

I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), so you may be eligible to use your private insurance benefits. I recommend checking with your provider to confirm coverage- check for coverage for ABA services or BCBA services

OAP Funding
I am a Clinical Supervisors on the Ontario Autism Provider List, so you can use your OAP funding to pay for services.

RASP List

I am a Behaviour Analyst on the Registry of Autism Providers in British Columbia, so you can use your Autism funding to pay for services.

Who do you work with?

I work with children of all ages, whether they have a diagnosis or not. I have extensive experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and children with ADHD. Contact us to learn more about a program tailored to your child’s unique needs.

Are your plans customizable?

If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for under the sleep consultation or behaviour consultation tabs, please reach out to schedule a meet and greet. I can discuss your needs and determine if we’re a good fit for each other.

What areas to do you serve?

Due to the remote nature of the consultation I am able to service families worldwide. I am based in the Easter Standard Timezone and are available for in-person consultation in the Collingwood, ON area.

What is your behaviour/parent coaching approach?

I blend Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles with respectful, evidence-based parenting techniques to support families in fostering independence and developing new skills. My approach focuses on understanding behaviour, identifying its purpose, and teaching skills to replace challenging behaviours. Each plan is individualized, compassionate, and practical, ensuring strategies align with your family’s values and goals. Together, we create a customized plan that promotes lasting progress and strengthens your bond with your child.m

What certifications/qualifications do you hold?

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Family and Child Studies, a Diploma in Behavioural Science, and a Master of Science in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Autism. I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), and a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).

I am on the Ontario Autism Provider List, the Registry of Autism Providers (BC) and registered with the College of Psychologist and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.

Additionally, I am a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant through the Family Sleep Institute.

What is a BCBA?

A Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) is a trained professional who helps people improve their behaviours, especially when those behaviours are challenging. They use proven techniques to teach new, positive behaviours and reduce behaviours that might be harmful or disruptive. BCBAs work with individuals of all ages, including those with autism, and they create personalized plans to help each person succeed.

What is Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behaviour Analysis is the study of how people’s behaviours are influenced by their environment. It looks at what happens before and after a behaviour to understand why it occurs and how it can be changed. Behaviour analysts use this knowledge to help people learn new skills, improve their behaviour, or reduce behaviours that are harmful or disruptive. The goal is to create positive, lasting changes in behaviour using proven techniques based on research and science. This approach is often used with individuals with autism, but it can help anyone who wants to make changes in their behaviour.

What is your sleep coaching/training approach?

At Shaping Waves, I use a family-centered approach to sleep training, aimed at creating better sleep for the entire family. I understand that every family is unique, so we tailor my strategies to fit your parenting style and comfort level. The goal is to help your child develop healthy sleep habits that lead to lasting progress, while strengthening your connection as a family.

What are your sleep training/coaching qualifications?

I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst since 2016 and is a Certified Sleep Consultant with the Family Sleep Institute. I bring knowledge and expertise as a Behaviour Analyst and applies it to sleep consultations. I use evidence-based approaches in both sleep consultations and behaviour consultations to make effective long-lasting changes.
